Sara named OIC while President is away
VICE President Sara Duterte-Carpio was designated as officer-in-charge while President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is on his back-to-back state visits to Indonesia and Singapore.
Malacañang on Sunday released Special Order No. 75 tasking Duterte-Carpio to temporarily “take care of the day-to-day operations of the Office of the President and oversee the general administration of the Executive Department” from September 4 to 7.
This is to “ensure the continuity of government services” while the President is away.
Marcos has instructed all departments, agencies, and government instrumentalities to his deputy in the discharge of her functions.
“All acts of the Vice President for and on behalf of the President pursuant to this Order shall be deemed acts of the President, unless disapproved and reprobated by the President,” the order read.
