Covid-19 cases down by 12 percent – DoH

THE Department of Health (DoH) on Monday reported that as of April 3, there were 692 severe and critical patients Covid-19 patients admitted in various hospitals.

From March 28 to April 3, 2022, 2,679 new cases were recorded in the country. The average number of new cases per day this week was 382, down by 2 percent compared to the cases on March 21 to 27.

Meanwhile, 329 people died of the disease.

Of the 2,990 intensive care unit (ICU) beds for patients with Covid-19, 492 were occupied. Meanwhile, 16.7 percent of the 25,340 non-ICU Covid-19 beds were in use.

More than 66 million individuals or 73.47 percent of the target population have been vaccinated against Covid-19 while 12.1 million have received their booster shots.
