The state weather bureau on Monday morning reported that Tropical Storm Kabayan maintained its strength over the waters east of Davao Oriental.
In its 8 a.m. tropical cyclone bulletin, PAGASA has last spotted the center of Kabayan over the coastal waters of Manay, Davao Oriental (7.2°North, 126.7°East).
It packs maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 80 km/h, and central pressure of 1002 hPa.
PAGASA has raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 over some parts of Mindanao and Signal No. 1 in some areas in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
