Magic’s Aaron Gordon reacts to controversial dunk contest result in first post-All-Star interview

Gordon and the Magic have bigger fish to fry with the second half of the season starting on Friday at home against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks:

“I definitely feel some type of way about it,” Gordon said, via “I’m definitely kind of irritated a little bit and a little frustrated, as well. But it’s OK, it’s really OK. We’ve got to move on because it’s over now. I think it will be talked about for years and years and years, which is really cool. But at the same time, it’s over.”

Gordon is averaging 14.2 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists for the Magic this season in 49 games. He’s shooting 42.4 percent from the field, 30.8 percent from beyond the arc and 67.5 percent from the free throw line.

The Magic are 24-31 on the season. They are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Gordon believes he should have two slam dunk contest trophies at his house. Unfortunately for him, Zach LaVine and Jones got them instead, but we should applaud the way Gordon has handled himself in defeat.
