PNP records 24 new COVID-19 cases; total now 48,723

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Saturday said 24 new COVID-19 cases were recorded among its personnel, driving up the total tally of coronavirus infections to 48,723.

Of this number, 286 are active cases.

Meanwhile, 61 cases recovered, thus total recoveries reached 48,309.

The death toll remained at 128.

The Philippines on Friday logged 3,788 new COVID-19 cases bringing the nationwide caseload to 3,630,637. 

Based on the Department of Health’s latest bulletin, the country’s active cases stood at 91,147.

Total recoveries climbed to 3,484,636 with 5,652 new ones, while 72 new fatalities pushed the death toll to 54,854. —KG, GMA News
